Anxiety Treatment
Anxiety can be debilitating, energy zapping, and hold people back from living the lives they want to live. The tricky part is: Anxiety is also adaptive. It reminds us to get things done and to keep ourselves safe. So we can’t totally get rid of it. When I work with clients in my office in Fullerton, or via telehealth, who experience panic attacks or feel anxious, keyed up, irritable, on edge, or stressed out my goal is to help them discover ways to work with their anxiety, rather than against it.
Grief Counseling
Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult things a person goes through, yet people often feel pressured to move on. Overwhelming sadness, shock, or confusion can leave someone feeling alone and lost. At Lightway Counseling and Psychology Services, we consider it an honor to walk alongside someone going through grief and believe that having the space to share, feel, and make sense of your loss can help you heal and move forward.
Postpartum Depression & Anxiety
The pregnancy and postpartum years are a beautiful time, but can be extra tough on mamas. Hormonal changes, physical pain and recovery, impaired sleep, spousal conflict, and major life change can make it difficult to enjoy this time. Yet so many moms suffer in silence instead of reaching out for help. If you’re struggling with postpartum anxiety or depression in Orange County, I’d love to help you feel better and get healthier - for you and for your family.
Counseling for Young Adults
Finding a way through your twenties is harder than most people think. In my work at various university counseling centers in Southern California, I experienced first hand the ups and downs of this unique season of life. If you’re a college student, recent grad, or young adult feeling lost, stuck, lonely, anxious and depressed, or unsure where to go from here, I invite you to consider whether starting therapy in Orange County could help you move forward today.
Therapy for Teens
Teens are awesome and this season can offer some of the best years of a person’s life. It’s a time of increasing freedom, personal growth, self-discovery and lots of fun! However, when teens aren’t doing well, this stage of life can be tough. Not just for the teen, but for the whole family. Many teens meet with me for therapy in my office in Orange County because they are feeling stressed out, depressed, anxious, disconnected, unmotivated, angry, or stuck in a rut they cannot get out of.
Helping People Who Feel Lost
One of my favorite things as a therapist is helping people find their way after feeling lost in darkness. Whether it’s walking through grief, adjusting to change, processing the past, recovering from trauma, or working through difficult family stuff, therapy can help you heal and move forward. If you’re not exactly sure if therapy will help but have known for a while that something’s not quite right, take a bold step toward self-growth and change today by reaching out to talk to a therapist.
