Brianna D. Bleeker, PhD

Founder / Licensed Psychologist

Hi, my name is Dr. Brianna Bleeker. I am a licensed psychologist and I love what I do. I provide counseling and psychological services in Orange County and I work with people from all different walks of life to help them find a way forward when they feel lost or stuck. I work with a variety of issues, like anxiety, panic attacks, depression, trauma, obsessive and compulsive disorders, ADHD, perinatal depression and anxiety disorders, and relational conflict. I specialize in working with stressed out moms, overwhelmed teens, young adults, and anyone feeling lost in a season of adjustment or change. If your life seems uncertain, confusing, or dark I’d love to help you get unstuck and find your way forward.

As a clinical psychologist, I take a look at the whole picture to help identify what it is that’s holding people back, so that we can find a way forward together. I believe life is worth living to the fullest and that therapy can help people do just that. This is why I consider it a true privilege to walk alongside people for part of their journey. I work out of my office in Yorba Linda, CA and see people from all over Orange County. I also provide telehealth services at this time for those looking for online video therapy.

I have experience working as a therapist in community counseling centers, private practice, and various university counseling centers in Southern California including Biola University, Vanguard University, and Azusa Pacific University. I conducted my doctoral internship at Biola where I provided individual therapy to college students and folks from the community, provided group counseling to undergrad and graduate students, conducted neuropsychological assessments, and conducted suicidal risk assessments, interventions, and treatment. After my internship, I stayed at Biola for an additional year where I completed their post-doctoral training program and taught psychology to undergraduate students.

In graduate school, I spent a year working at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center doing pediatric neuropsychological assessment. In this position, I conducted various cognitive, emotional, intelligence, learning, and developmental assessments and worked with families in need of resources and community support. This experience strengthened my love for working with teens, as well as families in crisis.

While in graduate school, I helped conduct research with the Fuller Youth Institute to better understand how Christians can better include young people in their church communities. I also worked on staff in a church’s children’s ministry throughout most of my time in graduate school where I learned first hand about the intersection between theology and psychology. My Christian faith and training at Fuller Seminary informs my work as a therapist and many of my clients ask to incorporate their own faith into our work together. I work with many Christians, and I also see people from various spiritual or religious backgrounds. I let clients take the lead on how, or if, they would like their spiritual beliefs to be a part of our work together. I believe it is important to make space for this part of a person’s life and do my best to create a safe space to have an open conversation about all parts of a person’s identity, including their spiritual or religious backgrounds.

In addition to my work as a psychologist, I love going on hikes, taking my little ones to the park, trying new recipes, and hanging out at the beach.
